Experience?
Does anyone have experience with accu chek Meter for gestational diabetes? I recently got one and my levels were always between 100- 140 a couple times at the highest. A few days ago I got an incredibly high readings of 193, 218,180 then 160 within a matter of a minute. I panicked and called accu chek and come to find out I had been damaging my test strips from day one by storing them out of the original container. So i got a new set of test strips and have been washing my hands right before every single time and storing my test strips properly and my readings have been excellent. For once it's showing my fasting levels are great. So I'm assuming ive been getting wrong readings all along because of how I was storing the test strips and not always washing my hands right before. Now my concern is my Meter isn't correct and I'm getting perfect readings that aren't accurate. Sounds crazy i know. Oh and I dont actually have gestational diabetes yet. My dr just wants me to keep up with checking my blood sugar and eating healthy so I don't develop it since one of my numbers in my 3 hr were elevated. Has anyone been through this? Had there been anything that caused your numbers to be right on target but it was inaccurate?
