Allergies worsened to cats 22 weeks pregnant

My boyfriend got me a cat right after I had a miscarriage of our first baby so the cat has a special meaning behind it I really don’t want to get rid of him but I will if it’s could cause problems with my pregnancy. When we first got the kitten I had a few sneezes and coughs here and there. So I started taking Zyrtec and I got pregnant the doctor told me it was fine to keep taking. Ive gone maybe two weeks without it thinking it wasn’t needed and now for the past two days I am coughing very hard and have itchy eyes. I’m scared the coughing fits will affect baby what should I do with my cat?? Get rid of him, block him out of my room, give him away see if the Zyrtec works what should I do???
