I think it’s fine to masturbate even though you are married..I do if hubby isn’t home or is tired or sleeping and it’s the same for him too but we also have sex and that doesn’t always end up on me having a orgasim but he always puts in the effort. 
You need to talk to your husband about him not making sex about your pleasure as well as his it’s pretty selfish of him that he doesn’t want you to feel that as well.
