Any saving a pre term baby at 22 weeks?

My doctors are concerned about me going into labor. They have stopped it but are worried it is going to start again. I’m 22 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby. I’m so sacred!

I had a friend when I was pregnant with my son who started gushing blood and her baby was born at 22 weeks. She was tiny and lived 3 hours away in the hospital... but she made it!!!!

Unfortunately it depends on the resources, my ob considered viable at 24 wks.

It depends on your hospital policies. All of our local hospitals won’t even try before 24 weeks even if baby is trying 😭😭💔

Stay in bed with your legs elevated. Don’t get up unless you absolutely have to (food/potty) drink plenty of water. You should try not to stress.

Google a hospital with a level 3 NICU in your area. They'd be more eager to intervene than one with a lower level NICU.  Best wishes to you and your little baby!

Where I live there is only maybe one or two hospitals that has the proper technology and equipment to try and save a baby before 24 weeks. Definitely do your research and find if there is a suitable hospital like this around you if god forbid that you happen to go into labor and have this baby. Otherwise most hospitals won’t be able to do anything before 24 weeks 😩

I have a coworker that had her baby at 22 weeks and the baby is pushing through. There is hope just keep faith.

Stay on bed rest and drink a ton of water. Hopefully you can put off labor for another few weeks at least.

I’ve also heard 24 weeks is when the fetus becomes a baby, aka can live outside the womb. Good luck hun! Xoxo
