Were you able to breastfeed after csection?

I am 5 days postpartum and after csection delivery i had some complications so baby was not given straight to breast, instead provided bottled formula. I have been pumping and my milk has finally come in, however, my baby boy doesn’t want to latch on to my nipple. I try often but he gets fussy/angry and starts crying. My nipple is a good size, i have tried with a nipple shield and have been to a lactation consultant. LC says my technique/hold is good, we just need to wait for baby to react. It is frustrating for me bcuz i tried hard to get my milk in and now that it is my boy not latching although he takes bottles and soother perfectly fine. Anybody been through this? Is it just a keep trying and it will come? Or will he not take nipple bcuz hes used to the plastic feel (bottle/pacifier)?
