Finally stopping depo. How long to have kids?

so ive been on depo for 5 years. I'm finally getting off of it. I'm supposed to go back next month to get another shot but I'm canelcing my appointment. me & my husband finally found our own place. How long will it take me to get pregnant? & can I start taking a over the counter fertility drug now while I'm still on depo?

I came off the depo February 2017 and fell pregnant October 2017. I didn’t bleed until July and they were every two weeks. I got my first real period in September. I was on the depo for 2 years. Every body is different but googling doesn’t help because loads of people wrote their struggles to conceive after the injection.

I was on it for 4 years. Took me damn near 5 years to conceive. That's with no fertility treatments, or anything they have out there. Depo is bad juju, my doc told me I might not have anymore babies because of it. It does take time though, but every body is different. I was told that taking another form of BC would help regulate things, but I opted not to put anymore chemicals in my body. Best of luck!

Took a year and a half for me to get a regular cycle and start ovulating again.The depo shot kills your fertility pretty bad for some time, it's the worst birth control hands down.

I was on depo for 6 years.  I didn’t go in for my last shot scheduled 5/2016.  I didn’t get my period until about 3/2017.  We started TTC 1/2018 and ended up with a miscarriage, but still continuing to try.
Due to how long you were on it, it may take you a while to get a normal cycle back.
