How did you get your lo to sleep in crib/bassinet?

My little one immediately wakes up everytime I put her down and cries. What did you do? How long did it take? If you comment “nothing they’ve been sleeping since we came home from the hospital” I’ll find you! 😆

Our daughter jut turned 4 months. We started doing naps in her crib a couple months ago to get her used to sleeping flat. She slept in her rocknplay at my bedside until last week. It was rough at first and she wasn’t a fan, but we just stayed consistent with it even it was just for a for 15 minutes. We also let her cry/whine a little, then go in to soothe, then repeat ... she got it in a week!!! Before going into her crib for the whole night, we had her in her rocknplay in her room for a few nights just to get her used to being away from me. Now, we leave her rocknplay on while she sleeps in her crib bc she’s used to the noise. We also make the room black and shut her door which I think helps a lot. 
Basically, we made small changes. Now I need to take the plunge and remove the rocknplay! But I’m nervous! She gets up about once a night now.

My daughter has done this from day one. Took me about a week before I gave up and now we bedshare. Basically she sleeps on me all night... it’s hard and I don’t like it, but it’s the only way either of us get any sleep! I sure hope it gets better for you because I don’t wish this on anyone! (Makes being able to get anything done nearly impossible)

My sister in law got me a sheet that feels like velour. I was suspicious because I’ve gotten everything organic cotton, but I have to admit, she loves how soft and warm it is, vs the cotton which is cold and crisp. At least during the winter, that helped her ease into the crib!

We are still swaddling with one arm out, but I feed him and rock him swaddled and then transfer once he’s asleep. We also use a sound machine ( white noise for nights and a soft music one for naps). When we moved from bassinet to crib I started with naps and worked my way to every sleep.

When we transitioned from the rock n play to the crib, we bought the halo snoozy pod which adds gentle vibrations underneath the crib. This helped so much getting her into the crib (we moved her at 2 months) and then again when we transitioned out of the swaddle this past weekend (by she was rolling on to her belly). We also did Ferber method sleep training at the same time as transitioning out of the swaddle. 
It was a super fun weekend 😂

I used a little of the pick up put down method. I put him down and try to settle him for 1 or two min. If it doesnt work I pick him up, calm him and try putting him down again. It takes a few time until they will settle. Also I try to put my little one down when he is drowsy but awake. I gentle put him bum down first and slowly put his head down, then I hold down him arms and shoulders to prevent himself from waking himself up too much. I also using loud shushing noise. It took a couple weeks for my little one to get used to the drowsy but awake put down. Sometimes he still needs me to hold him for about 10 min before I put him down. I have been doing this since he was 3 months but its harder now that he turned 4. Maybe it has to do with sleep regression.

What has she been sleeping in? Do you have a sound machine? Are you still swaddling? 
My DD transitioned pretty easy from the rock n play to crib. I did notice though that if I don’t turn on the sound machine or her legs are not swaddled good she tends to wake up.

We are having this struggle right now. My LO is almost 5 months old, and it just started being a problem a couple weeks ago. Right now I rock him till he has been asleep at least 15 mins than I’m able to slowly lay him down.

I used to rock my LO until she was dead asleep. And then I do the transfer as delicately as possible. It takes practice to get the transfer right.
