Cereal bottle?

My family has been trying to push my SO and i to give our LO a cereal bottle at night before bedtime. Is it a good idea? I read that giving it to babies are not recommended.....she’ll be 5 months next week

My daughter's daughter said to never give babies cereal in a bottle. it doesn't help them sleep, it's a choking hazard. Only give cereal with a spoon with baby sitting up.

We were told by our pediatrician to not ever put cereal in our little guys bottle, he gave us the ok to give him cereal at 4 months but to always feed it with a spoon. To start by making it a very thin consistency and then gradually making it thicker when they learn to swallow it better. I’m not criticizing at all I just want you to know what our pediatrician told us, I know a lot of people use cereal in their babies bottles at an early age for reflux so I know it’s not harmful, but your babe is old enough I’m sure she/he can start getting spoon fed cereal now😊

I think it’d be fine but definitely try it out during the day for a few days so you know how your baby reacts to it and that it settles good for your baby before trying it before bed

there is no reason to add cereal to a bottle unless on medical advice. Unfortunately it doesn't help babies sleep, & is a choke hazard, sorry

Our pediatrician literally said “don’t listen to the grandmas. Do not put cereal in the bottle” 4 months and he gave the go ahead for cereal then introducing foods. If not at that stage, try more milk or formula at a time.
