Extreme Hunger

Hey guys! So happy there’s a vegan community here.

I was vegan for a year around three years ago and have been vegetarian until around a month ago when I went back to being vegan. I stopped because I realized that I was using it as an excuse to an eating disorder that ruined by health and mind since 9th grade(I’m now 21). While vegetarian in recovery I dealt with extre hunger and binging which is normal, but I find what eating vegan I’m constantly needing lots and lots of grains and carbs to feel satisfied. Protein really doesn’t satisfy me nor does high fat items like avocados—they just make be bloated.

For example I need to eat like two whole pb and j sandwiches along with another piece of toast to be satisfied in the morning, then eat at around 4pm with another high carb low fat/low protein meal.

Does anyone have experience with this or can relate? I eat so many carbs yet maintain a normal weight and actually have lost weight since my metabolism has healed, but my friends think I’m crazy.
