Is this normal ?

Hi there i am 7 weeks  i have been spotting brown for a week , now it’s red pink and it’s heavier and sometimes clots come out 
I  went to the doctors yesterday and they did ultrasound and blood work and we saw the heart beat  ( heartbeat is at 139) they checked and my cervix was closed , they said it’s normal ??
Anyone else have this , I just don’t wanna think I am having a miscarriage

My first pregnancy I had red bleeding and spotting pretty much throughout. It was terrifying at first and I was in and out of hospital and had scans every two weeks. Baby was fine - I was fine - cervix was always closed etc. turns out my cervix was just super super sensitive and bled at whatever opportunity there was even though it was closed. 
If you’ve been checked and the bleeding isn’t getting heavier it’s likely ok :) if it gets worse or you’re ever in doubt though call and just try not to stress.

I had a minor brown bleeding in week 5, took blood tests and ultrasound in week 6, all was good. My gynecologist said that brown spotting may or may not be a sign of a problem. In my case it wasn’t. She told me that as long as I didn’t start bleeding heavily, I shouldn’t get stressed out. Still have some very light brown discharge (week 7+3), but I’m not stressed out about it anymore. 
I bet you’re all good. If your gynecologist said you were, then trust him/her! :) lots of women have some bleeding and colored discharge in their early pregnancy. Hope this was helpful.
