First transvaginal ultrasound?? What to expect?

Question

I am estimated to be 8 weeks on Monday and have my first transvaginal ultrasound to check for viability. I have not had a nurse visit, OB visit or history check at this point. This is my first appointment in this pregnancy (my first).
What can I expect? Will their be questions I should be prepared to answer? Should I bring my list of questions or wait for my nurse visit appointment?
Is it just a quick ultrasound and I’m out the door? What is to be expected?
Anyone willing to discuss their experiences I’d appreciate it!! TIA

It’s like a regular appointment they will just attempt to see the baby it’s transvaginal since it’s so early. It’s ok to take questions to ask because they should ask you if you have any. Good luck I found out super early got mine at 6 weeks and could barely see the baby but it was there

at my first appointment I had to do blood work and a urinalysis. they will also do a pap smear if you haven't had one recently and check for std. they also ask you questions about family history for you and your partner. I asked alot of questions at mine so feel free to bring questions and I'm sure they will be happy to answer. the ultra sound is not painful just uncomfortable but they want to measure the baby to get a more accurate due date, get your baby's heart rate, make sure it's in the right spot and they look at a few other things during that ultrasound just to make sure everything looks good. this was my experience i know some places do things different, but I think most places check the same things that first appointment 😁 hope this helps!
