Deployment babies??

Question

Any Army Wives out there whose husbands will be in Iraq during the baby’s birth?? 
I’m wondering if you know if your husband will get to come home for the birth or not? 
I know a lot of wives husbands get to but everyone I talked to so far, they’re husbands were in Germany or South Korea. I didn’t know if Iraq would be the same.

I had a patient the other day deliver and her husband was over seas. They face timed during the entire birth. He was able to come home within the next few days but it was an emergency situation because she was preterm so I’m not sure if that makes a difference or not?

So we were in this same situation last year. He didn’t make it home for the birth and bc of where he was in Iraq he didn’t even find out till 10 hours after she was born. They did let him come him on emergency leave for ten days but that’s unit dependent and he had to fight for it. She was also 5 weeks early and in the nicu while I was all alone here withiy family. That all factored in. Best of luck any questions let me know

He won’t be able to be there for the birth. But you can always send a Red Cross message and hope his unit will allow him his 10 day leave.

Mine is in Afghanistan currently. They are letting him home for the birth 💘

I am in the army and I can tell you now since it’s a deployment they won’t let him come home to see the birth 😕 well wishes to him & good luck my love ❤️
