worried about new pain in ovary/uterus

I am ttc my second after having my daughter 18 years ago. Yesterday I got a sudden sharp pain around uterus and also left ovary. it felt like some thing was squeezing and the pain would occasionally radiate down to vaginal area. It hurt really bad for like 30 minutes. Now the area around left ovary and uterus location is very sensitive. If I press on my abdomen there it causes a sharp pain. It's a constant dull ache in the area. I'm due to start AF within the next 1 to 5 days. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I've never experienced anything like this.
