Condoms

So, me and my boyfriend are starting to get more sexual and we had sex for the first time a few days ago. We tried condoms at first, but he said he couldn’t feel anything..so we took it off. I’m on birth control, so I wasn’t THAT scared, but still, it’s kind of scary. I’ve talked to him about it, and Im willing to give him money to buy good condoms (the ones we tried are from the gas station lol). Could you guys recommend good condom brands and/or ways to make them feel better for him?
