Ovulate, normal tests, dr prescribed Clomid. Should I take it?

I’m 37. TTC 9 months. Found out in August a medication my husband was taking made his sperm count zero. He went off the meds, sperm counts all normal again by November. So, I really feel like we have only been TTC 4 months. Did ultrasound and blood tests in February, all good, normal follicles, all hormones good. Dr. prescribed Clomid. I’m really nervous and am supposed to start taking today. Thoughts?

Dr wouldn’t have prescribed it if they didn’t feel it necessary. They are doctors not just random people passing out drugs. They take it very very seriously when giving out fertility medication due to the high risk of multiples so if they prescribed it.. take it. 
Also just because you get a LH surge on an ovulation test doesn’t mean you actually released an egg.
