Introducing myself
Hi everyone! I âmetâ Audrey on a IUI discussion board and she invited me to join this group. It seems like you all are a great support system for one another so I am excited to join. I have the most supportive friends ever but most easily got pregnant so they donât quite understand the journey so itâs nice to talk to others who are going through it/ have been through it. A little background on my story... after just one month of trying naturally to conceive, my dr went ahead and did some tests on me since I had been off bc for awhile and my periods were very irregular. She diagnosed me with pcos. I was shocked bc I never had trouble with weight gain/the normal hormonal issues you associate with high testosterone. Basically the only symptom of pcos I have is lots of small cysts on my ovaries, which stops me from ovulating. I did multiple rounds of clomid and then femera with my regular ob and then moved to a specialist two months ago. Iâve seen done two rounds of medicated IUIs without success. I am starting my third round this month. I also started going to a fertility accupunturist last month and really like it! Happy to share more about that if anyone is interested. Turning 30 this year (in April) and feel like the clock is ticking.. not necessarily because of my age (I know that is still young to have kids) but I had some cervical cancer in the past that is known to come back fairly frequently so my dr recommended a hysterectomy as soon as Iâm done having kids. Hoping to get babies knocked out quickly so I donât have to worry about that for too long. Anyway, thatâs my story, would love to hear others!! R
