OPK for positive early pregnancy ?

I read that OPKs can predict early pregnancy because of the HCG hormone acts similar to the LH surge that is detected and that sometimes it picks up earlier signs than an hpt would have . Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences with this scenario ??

It's not reliable. I've always had negative opks when I'm pregnant. Just use a pregnancy test

I've heard mixed things on that. Basically HcG and LH are almost structurally identical, I think HcG has one more glycoprotein than LH does, so an OPK can't tell the difference. I've heard it's normal to have a second LH surge just before your period because of falling progesterone levels. I don't know how true that is. Buuuut, lol in my experience a super positive OPk was what prompted me to take a HPT with both of my recent pregnancies. The cycles I didn't conceive I never got a positive OPK.

Lh can surge right before af. Mine always does so I don’t rely on the test to indicate pregnancy. It’s better to just use cheap pregnancy tests than get your hopes up.
