Who's your daddy?

so my 2 year old son asked me today if my boyfriend (who is the only real father figure my son has known) is his daddy. My son's real father passed away before he was born. Do I let him call my boyfriend daddy? What do I tell him? I'm confused.

I'm so sorry your son will never know his father, but it's wonderful he has someone in his life (your boyfriend). I think this is a very personal decision, one your boyfriend should agree with. 
My only real advice, make sure your son knows who his biological father is as well

Me personally I wouldn’t allow my child to call someone other than his dad, dad. I understand that his father passed away.

Having lost my dad quite early, and being adopyef by my mom's next husband,  i can tell you, it is better you explain to your child in the most child friendly way that the father ainy coming back. That he loves him. And tell him about his dad. Your child will naturally love your bf as a father. Dont force him though to accept him as a father. Let them create their own bond. But once in a while tell the child positive things about his late dad. It made me feel good hearing things about my dad and how awesome he was. I love my dad now and he walked me down the aisle. But i also love my late dad. The child cam have both.  Expose them to both and let them choose. Ps. When my parents separated,  it was tough. I still hang with my adopted dad without my mom though. But it is complicated.  Maybe it would be judt as complicated of it wete for my biological dad. Divorce is tough. One thing you shouldn't do is introduce different men. The child needs stability.  So unless you are completely sure the boyfriend will stay for good, at least in the child's life even after you separate, not saying you will,unless you are sure about that, domy push your child to call him father. Dont influence it.
