How Would Mom React?

Hey guys, im in a little bit of a situation here. I’m 15 years old and almost a sophomore in highschool. i’ve been wanting a baby since i was 12 years old and i’m not sexually active since my mother is too overprotective and would never let me go on a date. So that means i’m not sexually active. I just don’t know how to tell her i want one. Just to let y’all know how bad my mom is she’s never taken me to a gynecologist after i’ve asked her for 2 years straight to let her take me to one.

Dont choose to have a baby at 15. My mom was 15 when i was born and never grew up until we were BOTH adults.

you're only a sophomore in high school honey. I understand completely tho! I suggest getting a job maybe at a day care facility or do some baby sitting. you're too young to have a kid, you're still a kid yourself. you have the rest of your life for that later on :)

just because you think you want a baby does not mean you are prepared for one. 12 years old is way too young to even be thinking about bringing another life into the world. You're still a child. You still live with your parents. If you had a baby, the financial responsibility would fall on them.

If you want a baby young, then start working now to getting yourself to a point that you’ll be able to support a baby. Research the costs, start working, and focus on getting yourself ready to be ready to have a baby. I always wanted to be a young mom. For some reason I always had a feeling I’d end up a teen mom. I’m 18 and ended up pregnant without trying. It’s more of a slap of reality than you think it’ll be beforehand. Luckily at 31 weeks pregnant I have enough money saved up to stay home with my baby girl for the first 3-6 months, depending on how I’m feeling and the opportunities for work. I know it will not even remotely be easy though and I wish I started saving a lot sooner even though I wasn’t trying to get pregnant.

Honestly hun you are going to draw so much attention to yourself if you get pregnant in high school. I’m in high school as well but I’m 2 years older than you and I’d love to have a baby too but I know it’s not responsible of me to do at this age. If you want to be around kids/ learn about babies I would take a parenting class or a child development class. At my school we have a child development class where you teach 3-5 year olds. Then for my schools parenting class you get to learn about babies and you get a robot doll along with getting to wear a pregnancy belly around.
