“Close your mouth” thoughts?

Saw this on Facebook and I’m genuinely curious on what you all think.

Personally, I understand the logic behind it when it comes to maybe not speaking on good news too soon, but not in not telling people at all.

Idk why people’s jealousy alone would cause you to not achieve your goals in life. I know my friends are proud of me and want to see me succeed, much as I love seeing them succeed. I wouldn’t share news with someone who wouldn’t be happy for me.
