Unexpected ultrasound

So last night I started bleeding bright red ( 12 wks 3 days) so this morning first thing I called the doctors as it was now dark brown. I had sex Wednesday n also had a hard time having a bowel movement yesterday. So I knew it had to be one of those. The doctor had me come in this afternoon to do a ultrasound and the baby is fine 12 wks 4 days was moving like crazy that we barely got a heartbeat due to it moving but it was 159. Next ultrasound 16 weeks should be able to know what we’re having even though we got a perfect shot today and have an idea ( fingers crossed)
