Fed up with my baby's dad

Ugh, I don't even know where to begin. My baby's dad can be really mean with words and I'm finally getting tired and sick of it. He insults my family all day long. He thinks that with just buying diapers and baby wipes he's doing his job. We're currently living at my moms house and he wants to buy a truck instead of buying us a house or an apartment at least. He drinks everyday and that's when we start arguing. I don't want my son growing up watching his parents argue. But then again I love him and wouldn't want to see him with anyone else. I need some advice or tips on what to do.
