Digital Blackface?

Hey, it’s been a while since I’ve posted so I hope this topic hasn’t already been discussed, but someone shared this article in a FB group I’m part of and I am a bit confused. Link and screenshots below.

I’ve definitely seen some people use GIFs of POC who shouldn’t (ahem, looking at you racists of Glow 👀👀), but I’ve always used the GIF I felt best suited my mood. James Harden’s epic side eye is my go-to for most responses, and I’m genuinely offended that the writer suggested using Britney in place of Beyoncé. *insert GIF of Diane from Blackish clutching her pearls*

What are your thoughts on this article? Is it spot on, reaching, or somewhere in between?
