I'm a bad mother because of this..?

El

Ok, I gotta get this off my chest. I'm currently 19 years d. And 14 weeks pregnant. I have owned a 1989 Chevy Blazer K5 since I was 15. And it's been my first and only vehicle ever since. My tax money came back and I got a max of 1,200. So I was looking for a car that was 1,000. I evaded up getting hate messages in my inbox saying "1,000 dollars? If you don't have much you should abort your baby." And I was baffled.. So I said "Fuck it" I'll just fix up my Blazer and put the baby in it. It's steel. Very protective and has a lot of space. How bad could it be. So Friday! I am gonna get new tires out on it, my headlight rewired and I'm working on the rear window regulator so my back glass rolls down again. ( Easy fix)

Now, some of you may not know how big this truck actually is. So here it is next to a jeep Cherokee.

Mines on the Right.

I was in this class called Auto Tech. While in high school. And I've learned to work on this truck while in school.

I have rebuilt the rear differential.

And then rebuilt the steering column .

How am I being accused of being a bad mother you say?

It's because a lot of people think this vehicle is too big and too heavy for a baby. But thing is. It's all steel. Meaning. If something happened where I got hit. My whole truck wouldn't be in half. I'd be more protected. Not to mention. It's got way more room than my moms ford excursion. So I can haul all the things I need. But because it's so "big and scary" people say it's unsafe.. What do you guys think?

Also. Here's a photo of my class mates last year working on my distributor! (He's 6'5" and couldn't get back far enough. Why he is leaning like that)

Me in auto tech.

Edit: People have been asking how I am going to get in and out of my truck at nine months, easy! I am currently 5'9"

When I get in, I lift my foot inside the vehicle and I grab the top of the truck and or the "Oh Shit Handle" and pull myself up a little ways and scoot right in all comfy! Also I hate running boards. I never did, I feel like for me it takes away my trucks body, and also, I don't need them. I never was a big fan.
