What is spotting classed as? Four days late

Question

I’m four days late coming up to five. I’m having on and off spotting for two days now but no blood like a papers worth or anything which you normally get when you get the aunt flo. Is spotting classed as a period or is only full blown blood classed as a period? Getting spotting like this on and off. Nothing is going on my pad I’ve put on either. Just when I wipe
