tearing feeling?

I'm 38 weeks and today I sat to use the restroom and kind felt a tearing feeling down there and wiped and there was one drop of blood, not enough to be concerned about. is it normal to feel like your tearing down there. I haven't been checked in a week and a half and I was only 1cm dialated.

Sounds like a hemerroid... Did you poop or try to at the time? Have you been constipated? If you were not having a contraction at the time, or feeling the baby's head coming out, your vagina probably did not tear. Never hurts to check with the doc, though, just in case.

I would call your OB or go in and get checked ASAP. I haven’t experienced tearing other than when I gave birth to my son. And so far nothing like that for baby girl (I’m 38.2 weeks). It’s normal to have swelling and discomfort but anytime there’s blood, it’s always best to be safe and get checked. Good luck Mama! Hopefully everything is okay!
