Would it be petty/ wrong ?

so I made a post earlier about my boyfriend texting me saying that he’s cheated on me and was in love with someone else our whole relationship. Well I spent a lot of money on this boy and got nothing in return except chlamydia. I paid $80 for his work uniform when he got a new job cuz he didn’t have money. Also was talking him to work and picking him up everyday which caused me gas money that he never offered to pay for. Would it be petty or wrong of me to send him a cash app request of $80 I’m not tryna ruin his life god will take care of that. I just want my money back because I could use that money for something else instead of wasting it on his bum ass.

Ughhhh if I had to calculate alll the money I’ve spent on ex boyfriends lol. It would be thousands. But at the time you were with him, you wanted to spend that money on him and do something nice for him. Just because you’re not together anymore doesn’t mean you should ask for it back. Just be glad he’s out of your life now and cut your losses.

I personally was in almost the same exact situation. I honestly wouldn't do it, it'll just stir up some drama, he probably wouldn't pay it, and it'll just cause extra stress. The best route is to just let that boy go, he is useless.

You could bring it up and say I’d like the money I gave you to pay for your work clothes and the time I drove you to work every day. See if he will if he won’t then your shit out of luck on it. It’s worth a shot though. I don’t find it petty or bitter he played you for 11 months and used you the entire time.
