With toys r us closing, do you ever get sad that your children won’t grow up with a toy store?

The third option is for if you have a different toy store near you. And I don’t really consider Walmart or Target a toy store because it’s just not. They have some toys, sure, but it’s just not the same. I loved going to toys r us on special occasions and now that I’m finally having a baby myself, I would want to take my baby to a toy store. I’m really emotional about it lol.

I’m sad . I’m only 21 so I’m not even that old but i remember when the Christmas caterlog used to come and id circle everything i want from there and give it to my parents . Hoping I’d get it . Or going into toys r us after chemo treatment ( i had cancer as a kid ) and getting to pick something out !! Now my poor little princess won’t have a toys r us to do that with

I was there today. I am sooooo sad about it. 
That was my childhood and a place that helped with my PPD. There is a BIG combined one right by me, and I would get a coffee and walk around when I felt lonely. 
I don’t know why people say they’re expensive. I always found their prices fair. And even if something costs more there - helllooooo, PRICE MATCH!

When I would go to my dads house every other weekend growing up he didn’t usually have money to take us to do anything, but we would go to toys r us and ride bikes and scooters around the store like crazy people 😂 the employees never seemed to care back in the day! I would get to buy a pack of Pokémon cards or something else small and I was a happy camper.

I went there maybe twice while I was growing up, and my kids who are 8 and 6 have never been. The closest one is an hour and a half away lol. So when we get them toys we always order online anyways, so I don't feel like they are missing out on much. They still have the same amount of stuff, and really that's all that matters. And stuff doesn't really even matter that much!

In Canada here toys r us is staying open so I won’t have that problem but there are plenty of other good toy stores around anyways so it doesnt matter 🤷‍♀️

No , they have always been way too expensive but now with so many online competitors & other stores  selling the same things and even better for much more reasonable prices they can’t compete
