Transfer went great this morning!
We had one high quality embryo transferred this morning! They didn’t give us the complete grade, which I see a lot of people posting, but the Dr told me the cells that become the fetus were graded a 2, and the area that becomes the placenta was graded a 1. Super happy!! The transfer was nearly seamless. They did a test run on the catheter insertion that was perfect. Then when they put the catheter in to transfer the embryo, they weren’t seeing the catheter tip visible on the ultrasound. After trying to find it for a couple of minutes, the Dr realized the tip of the catheter had curved inside my cervix and that’s why we weren’t seeing it make its way into the uterus. The only uncomfortable part was them pushing around on my bladder for the ultrasound. He made a quick adjustment, and we immediately saw the catheter and then my little embryo left behind in my uterus! And to top off....they gave me a chocolate bar after the procedure was done! Score!
Feeling so amazed by how quickly this whole process has unfolded. It feels like just yesterday that my husband and I were panicking about the first injection. 🤣
We’ll find out on Easter if our little nugget found a cozy place to settle in!! I can’t wait, but I’m considering myself pregnant until then! 😁
