Transitioning naps from arms to pack n play?

My son is turning three months on the 29th and I want to try putting him in his pack n play for naps. He has always been snuggled and held going to sleep so he isn't used to laying by himself. I know he is capable of it though (he has fallen back asleep not being held after waking up) I'm not sure if there's a specific way to go about it? I'm all for the night time bed sharing but I need my arms to myself soon during the daytime to work. I love babywearing but he won't let me sit down while he is being worn so that doesn't work (plus he doesn't sleep like that anymore, he is more interested in looking around when worn).
