Telling your husband you’re pregnant?

How did you tell your husband or S/O you’re pregnant? Did you just take the test together or did you do some cute announcement that he’s going to be a dad?

I planned to do something cute, but we tried for 2 years, and when it finally happened, we were at my parents and I just decided to buy a test cause I was a few days late (which was nothing abnormal so I didn’t expect a positive.) and then I screamed at my mom because I didn’t believe what I was seeing.. and my husband just kinda knew and my mom made him and my dad go buy another test (we just had 1 cheapie) just to be sure.. all I said to him was “we’re having a baby!” And I cried- but he obviously already knew that before I even officially told him. . My plans went out the window because I was too dang excited.

I had planned on doing something cute but we tried for over five years so I when I finally took a test I was a little hysterical and hadn’t calmed myself before he came in the bedroom and thought something was horribly wrong so I kind of had to tell him then. 😂

We went to the dollar tree together & for the past month he had been joking & rubbing my belly saying baby cheesecake cause I had literally eaten an entire cheesecake by myself & on more than one day I ate 2 entire butter pound cakes to myself & when he asked for a piece I cut him a sliver. So anyways, at the dollar tree when we walked by the pregnancy tests we decided to grab one & my period was only 1 day late as of that day but my breasts had been super sore & that’s it. Way, way later in the evening I decided to take the test without saying a word to him thinking it was def gonna be negative & go right in the trash well instead of negative the 2 pink lines came up immediately & lit up like a neon sign. There was no doubting these lines. It made me loose my breathe. When I came in the room I was breathing so heavy cause I thought I was going to faint. He looked at my face & asked me what was wrong. I just said it was positive. He asked me what was positive. I told him the pregnancy test was positive. He asked if I was sure. I told him it was on the bathroom sink. He grabbed his glasses to look at it & I told him he def didn’t need his glasses to see the 2 lines. He looked at the test then looked at me & told me he was happy. He said that for the past few years he had been thinking that he had nothing left here on earth of him once he was gone.  He then told me he couldn’t be happier to have me be the mother of his child & that he loved me. We are so excited for October & we really, really hope the baby actually comes on the due date because it’s Halloween day & how awesome would a Halloween baby be.

I was gonna surprise him when he got home from work but he saw a pic of the test on our shared Google photos app. who would know for the first time in forever he would go threw our pictures

Both times I went to the Dr and found out while my SO was at work. And both times I called him as soon as I got out of the appointment and freaked out. We definitely weren't expecting our little miracles so I didn't have the patience to wait and tell him in a cute way.

he bought the pregnancy test while I was at work and I took it when I got home.  we saw the results together

First time he was right there with me, watching the lines appear. 
Second time I took it with him in the next room. Then came out with the test and said “look what you did to me” (jokingly) 
Third time went pretty much the same as the second. 
This time I actually meant to do something cute, but I left it on the bathroom counter and he found it. 😂😂 oops. He was still so excited. It was almost as cute as watching him open a cute little surprise

He knew when I was taking the tests with both my pregnancies. I just felt like he should be part of that.
