Super hymen...ish

So I have a thicker hymen than all my friends and I had to tear part of it to start wearing a tampon (TMI I know) but I was wondering if you can get a gynecologist to remove it painlessly? I am a competitive swimmer so it's a constant problem for me when I use larger tampons. If anyone knows of anything related to this please let me know!
