Well while I would say it’s a benefit, others may see it as not lol. But you know they say “women and children are saved first” and I’d consider that a benefit. But the benefit also stems from the belief that women are defenseless and weak. So I guess it depends on how you look at it.

To those arguing that in case of emergency women and children are given first priority... Just a reminder that this is the only situation (a comparatively meaningless one) in which women are given anything resembling priority, or rights in a patriarchy. 
Women have made great strides, and are represented by such strong and accomplished female leaders in the media, so it is easy to forget our proximity to a time when all of this was not the case. Not even a century ago were women granted the right to vote. Considered subordinate and unworthy of the same treatment as men, women have to fight a system that's maximum allowance for them is to marry a successful man.

I guess in the sense that the patriarchy gives more pressure on men to be “manly” and women to be more “womanly” that in a modern society nobody benefits from it a lot. But women definitely feel it more I think.
