I have been reading a lot of online articles about having babies later on and wondered what you all thought. I think people should have children whenever they want however am fed up of being shamed by 40 something’s. Yes you waited to have children until you were secure but there are down sides too. Opinions please!

Are you being shamed by 40 something’s because you’re 15 and trying to have a baby? 40 something’s won’t be shaming you for having a child young if you’re responsible, have a stable income and a stable life... they just don’t want you to be stupid and make impulsive decisions if you’re still in middle school and high school. Too many girls under the age of 18 TTC.

I'm over 35 but I'm always very careful not to shame anyone around here. I must confess I read a lot of crazy things coming from younger girls and I do think it would be better for the Large majority of them to finish growing up and to enjoy life  rather than jumping into motherhood (where the consequences of their choices affect Completely a new life) but then as everyone said:  to each one their own. life will eventually tell each one us if we made the right choices or not.

if you think you're shamed at a young age, try the shame at an older age. 
despite a lot of research showing pregnancies in the mid thirties aren't actually that rare and are often just as low risk as younger women, I not only get societal shaming but I also get it from the medical system. how about we all just let everyone make the life choices that work for them?

I'm 37 and pregnant with my second child. Let's hear some of those downsides. I'm super curious.

I'm going to be 37 in May and my doc pretty much told me that all the data that many quote about defects and such are from Old Old (super old) data. That I'll be just fine.
Just read newer data from the CDC and WHO.
There's also a few research papers done on the very thing. 
Calmed me right down 
Still though I don't get the bad talking from people, regardless of age.
Unless you're like in a super bad place (like low of the low) it's only for you and you alone
No one else's life will be changed,
And even then there are a lot of options for you and your baby.
The ONLY thing I can imagine that's "bad" would be my energy levels trying to play with a young child lol.
Next time tell them to mind their own damn business.
That's what I did and will still do if anyone says anything lol.

I'm 32 prego with 2nd. you're fine... wait til you can save up to afford kids, they're expensive, but a blessing. this will be our last for our own sanity's sake.
