Blood pressure high & pregnant

Anyone else have high blood pressure? I’m 15 weeks pregnant and I started taking 200 mg a day of Labetalol as prescribed by my doctor. I was never a big person on taking medication. I never take Tylenol or anything when I have a headache. I haven’t been sick in years so I haven’t been to the doctors for flu medicine or anything. However, I’ve always had pretty high blood pressure (since my early 20s) and obviously that’s a huge concern when pregnant. Is anyone else taking this medication? I’m so worried about taking meds when pregnant, it’s stressing me out more than I think it should. Has anyone had any negative side effects from it? The doctor says it won’t harm the baby or anything but I still worry. I’m calling today to make an extra appointment just to make sure I can hear a heartbeat. Any advice for me or anyone else in this position?
