Does baby's weight dictate vbac?

Stacey

I talked to the consultant at my 12 week ultrasound about hoping for a VBAC - he reacted like it would be very unlikely. He said he would see me again at 32 weeks for a growth scan and if it's going to be a big baby then it will definitely be a c section.

I had a previous c section 9 years ago at 42 weeks due to being induced for 2 days with prostin gel then cervix was finally soft enough to have waters broken, I was then immediately put on a pitocin drip for 14 hours and only got to 3/4 centimetres dilated and given a c section due to failure to progress.

Does my history make it unlikely that I would have a successful VBAC?
