I was on mirena for almost five years after I had my son (I have two kids). I HATED mirena, literally the only thing I liked was not having a period. I got it removed February 2017 and switched to the pill. Then in July my husband and I decided to TTC so I got off of the pill. He deployed shortly after. My periods just recently became regular around January.

Now that he is due to come home relatively soon he’s not sure if he wants to TTC right away and suggested I get back on birth control for now. I’m worried that it will take forever for my body to detox/be ready to TTC so I’m looking for the best reversible birth control. I’m 27 and he will be 28 in May. I’m worried if we wait too long we will have a hard time getting pregnant.

Any recommendations?
