Am I babying my ten month old?

You know how there are some things you wished you knew beforehand? Like things you learned in hindsight? Little habits you created without realizing it?

Well I’m questioning if I’m babying my ten month old and I’m wanting opinions from others who may have learned these little lessons before me.

Here’s what’s going on/some of the things that have me questioning:

1. For the most part I pick her up when she fusses. This doesn’t always happen, particularly if I’m right in the middle of something. But if what I’m doing can wait, then I pick her up.

2. She doesn’t like me to be out of her sight (although I assume that’s normal for this age).

3. I still ride in the backseat with her if my husband is driving. This is just something I’ve done since day one so it’s been our normal ever since.

4. I still take baths with her (she sometimes likes to “fall” backwards when sitting) and this is how we had to get her used to baths (bathing together) because she hated them at first.

5. She is still pretty much exclusively breastfed because she just has no interest in foods (purees or BLW).

6. And she sleeps in my bed, cuddled up next to me. This was also an unintentional habit that we just kind of accidentally stumbled into.

Please give me your thoughts on this situation overall. I am open to hearing the negatives/cons (nicely please). I obviously want to raise a healthy, well adjusted little girl but I also want to be able to enjoy the moment of babyhood while it lasts, as she’s growing so fast!
