Now that i am on insulin for my GD will i have a normal sized baby?

Question

They suspect i had GD with my previous two kids (passed at 26 weeks wasnt repeated) they were born 9lb 12oz and 10lb 7oz the bigger one ended up in NICU with hypoglycemia. I passed the test at 26 weeks with this baby but failed at 32 weeks, and am now on insulin. Hoping for a 8lb baby this time...atleast not 10lbs..

My midwife says if the GD is managed (with either diet or insulin) babies typically don’t become huge. That’s why they don’t induce early here if a person is able to keep their sugars reasonable after diagnosis. There are a few factors at play, but I’m 35 weeks with GD and my baby is within a totally normal size range.

I was GD but not on meds... and my kiddo was 8 lbs. 1 oz.. :)... controlled everything will be okay..
