I shouldn't have pets.... 💔💔💔

I fucked up big time.... I recently had my female dog spayed. I have been doing my very best to try and make her recovery fast and pain free and have no complications. Well she was freaked out by her cone. I decided to leave it off of her because she wasn't licking at first. She then started to lick giant sores on her front legs where the IV went in. I put her cone on her immediately and cleaned and wrapped the wounds. Dumb ass me got so busy at work that I forgot to check her legs the last like 2 days. Good thing I did this morning. Look what I did to my poor baby!!!

Her paws are so swollen!! I am a terrible fur mom!! The vet will most likely just tell me to watch them and it can take 24 hours for the swelling to go away. I feel so terrible. Maybe I wasn't cut out for pets or motherhood.....
