Little Stinker!

Momma of 4

I'm 35 weeks and for a few days I noticed a definite decline in her movement, the last 2 days hardly any movement at all, sugar and cold packs etc didn't do much to get her moving (maybe 2 kicks all day long), so yesterday afternoon I went ahead and called my ob. The drs were all out on call so I was told by the nurse to go to the hospital to get checked. Now running to the hospital isn't an easy ordeal for me because I have 3 other kids, 2 who needed to be picked up from school and one who is a young toddler at home napping, and my hospital is an hour away. So I called my mom (she's 30 minutes from me) to come watch my 1.5 year old and my husband to go pick up my kids in an hour at dismissal time (private school, no bus) and get ready to head to the hospital. And then of course baby is wide awake and moving more than she has in days! So I cancel the whole thing with everyone and told my dr I'd wait on it. Then today the nurse called me to follow up and asked if baby has been active today, I said no not yet, she scheduled me to come in for testing this afternoon. Well now baby is happily kicking and thumping around, like 20 kicks just within the last few minutes. So I guess she knows when I'm talking about her and it perks her up lol!

I'm gonna go to the appt anyway as a precaution but I feel silly sitting there reporting decrease movement with a baby who's now happily thumping away! But I swear for days it was like nothing I could do would get her moving, all day!
