Has any doctor's ever missed twins???I've had one ultrasound  that lasted about 2 minutes and listened to the heart beat which lasted about 5 seconds. I just have this gut feeling I'm having twins and everyone around me thinks I am too.

How far along are you? If you are over 6/7 weeks the odds of them missing that are very very unlikely. Its pretty clear when you have twins. Also, do you have twins on your side, or did you do IVF? The odds of having twins is pretty low unless they run in your family or you’ve had IVF.

I’ve heard of it happening, but honestly it is pretty unlikely. The likelihood of having twins is also pretty low. If there’s no particular reason why you are likely to have them (do they run in your family, or were you on fertility medication?), then it’s probably not going to happen.

I just seen a post on glow yesterday about a woman who found out at her 19 week ultrasound it was twins. She had one previous ultrasound and they only seen one baby.

I have a friend who doctor thought she was carrying twins even though he couldn’t see the 2nd baby. It could just be hiding perfectly and may need more time to show up. You have the right to get a second look from a different doctor to be sure.
