Is this conversation an example of good parenting or bad parenting?

This post was being shared around my facebook feed. While I think there are always varying levels of informed persons involved in protests and marches, I agree this this conversation and how it played out.

This was in regard to students walking out of their school to protest school violence and guns. Some parents were agreeing and some were saying that participation is what educates people.
