So I'm 6 weeks postpartum today and it says to start my birth control 6 weeks postpartum but I'm not sure if I'm only meant to start it after the 6 week check up which is 2 days or if I can start it today?

I waited till my 6week check up. But that was just because I needed to get a prescription for it, I asked if he wanted me to wait until Sunday and he told me no, start taking it right away so I can get covered and get the benefits from it right away
