how early can you take a blood test for pregnancy?

Answer

Blood test should not be done until your period is at least 10 days late. However, it is most accurate between cycle day 50 and cycle day 80 when there is a surge of HCG. This is what my phlebotomy instructor informed me and she has worked in a lab for over 20 years.
