Confused

I was in an car accident in February and have since been recovering so TTC was not heavy in my mind. A week after ovulation I began spotting pink/brown for almost a week. Did not feel like a period nor was the flow like a period. I have PCOS but I have had extremely regular periods since getting off BC. I stopped spotting them I was due for my period and again does not feel like one. Light spotting in the morning and then after that nothing until the next morning. I tested on Saturday and had a BFN and I’m confused has anyone had anything similar?
