Help! Insight?

Hello ladies! We have been TTC for almost 6 months. Last AF started March 4. My cycles are longer, usually 37-40 days. 3/19-3/23 I had very light spotting. Now since last week 3/29 I’ve had light cramping on and off, which was my first cue with my first child! Just curious on your thoughts? I never have mid-cycle spotting and never have cramps before AF....should I test? And when? Thanks in advance!!
