Sound machine recommendation?

My son will be 18 months when baby girl arrives. Our bedrooms are all relatively close and we live in a ranch so slightly worried about both babies sleeping. 
Anyone use a sound machine for their kids? Any recommendations on a specific product? 
I hate for my son to rely on something but I also need my sanity to be a good mom and I know sleep for all of us is important!

We have the little homedics one. It’s like $10. We bought rechargeable batteries. Works like a dream. I’ve heard the Dohm is really good, but it’s around $40.  Sound machines are lifesavers! Blocks home noise, helps him sleep when we travel, etc!

We have the fisher price music and sound.  It’s has a nightlight if you want it. It has music and white noise. And volume controls.  It’s been great!

We love the Dohm. We even send one to daycare, and it knocks out all the kids at naptime. :)

I use a humidifier in my daughter's room instead of a sound machine. I normally keep it turned down to the lowest setting so it makes a bit of white noise while giving her some extra moisture in the room, but if she's sick I can turn it up to help her breathe easier.
