Second pregnancy after preeclampsia?

Not sure if this is the right board so I apologize if it isn’t. Can anyone tell me about their pregnancy after preeclampsia? My first pregnancy I developed it towards the end. Luckily the protein in the urine didn’t show up until week 39. However, I’m on some heavy duty BP meds and if I skip them for a day I swell up like crazy and my bp skyrockets. I’m 19 months post partum and id love to get pregnant again.

Can anyone tell me how their pregnancy was after having preeclampsia with the first? I spoke to my doctor and he said to hold off a couple months (it’s been a couple months) and in May we will switch to a pregnancy-friendly medical routine for my bp.
