Losing weight??

Question

Has anyone lost any weight?? I’ve lost almost 15lbs (due to severe nausea and vomiting) but my doctor said I’ll gain it back later... hopefully I’ll just be back at my pre pregnancy weight (183lbs)

It sounds like you have Hyperemesis Gravidarum and you should be getting treated. I too have HG, I typically lose 15-20 lbs in my first trimester due to such severe nausea and vomiting, but it's not safe as you can get easily dehydrated and it can affect the baby's well being as well as your own. Ask your doctor for nausea medication or you may need to be put on a Zofran pump.

I definitely can’t afford to lose 15 pounds. I would be 103 pounds if that happened. 😭 I have been so sick this pregnancy that once I lost 2 pounds I knew I needed to be medicated for it, so they gave me Zofran. It’s helped so much.

My pre pregnancy weight was 162. I lost 7 pounds and was down to 155. I weigh myself every couple of days and it fluctuates between 155 & 157. I think it’s crazy I haven’t gained any. This is my second pregnancy. 
In my first I gain 5 pounds the first month. 7 in the first trimester total.  11 in the second trimester then I blew up in the last trimester.

I lost 13 lbs. I’m on diclegis now and my appetite is coming back but I’m still nauseous and throwing up sometimes.

I’ve lost about 8 lbs so far - between eating smaller meals so I don’t get nauseas and being nauseas I just haven’t been eating enough to maintain apparently. I started logging my food just to kind of see how much I was under eating. Haven’t seen my dr yet, but I’m overweight as is so I can’t see why it’s going to be a huge deal.

Same. I’ve lost 10 lbs in the first trimester. Doctor told me to gain. I was 188 when I got pregnant.

Yes they started me on nausea medication and that’s helped tremendously also sleeping meds and medication for rhinitis. Lol this baby ...😂😂
